I took a road trip yesterday. I drove from Boise to Idaho City, to Banks then back to Boise. I stopped along the way to see if I could find any mushrooms. When I went over the pass north of Idaho City I found that the ground was frozen solid at the highest points. I really didn't find anything until I got closer to Garden Valley. I still had no huge finds but at least the ground wasn't frozen. I found some Ramaria around banks but not much new growth. Today 11/05/2009 I found some, what I think is, Suillus albivelatus under a spruce tree in Eagle.
