Cabin Cr CG on the MF of the Weiser

You will have to bear with me because I can never get the pictures to go where I want them to. So in your mind line up the text with the picture that it is describing.

Reta and I (Bill Betts) checked out the Green Belt of Payette and the area around the Payette fish pond and found nothing. Then we found Coprinus altramentarius in the yard at the Second Chance at the corner of Crystal Lane and Highway 95. We told the owners that the mushrooms were good to eat, but declined when Reta told them she had made her husband slightly ill when she fed him these mushrooms.

Then we traveled up toward C0uncil to the Cabin Creek CG on the Middle Fork of the Weiser River. We found about 16 different mushrooms, all but one very small. We found this interesting growth on the side of a stump. I think the stump might have been a Douglas Fir stump, but I am not certain.
